Los Angeles, California and Music will forever be my muse.
Born and raised in Southern California, Donny Boyart is an abstract expressionist whose work channels the raw energy of the ocean and the rhythm of music into sweeping, life-sized brush strokes. A graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Donny honed his creative voice in an environment deeply rooted in the West Coast’s vibrant art and culture.
Following graduation, Donny began working closely with renowned fashion designer Mike Amiri, immersing in the high-paced world of luxury fashion and creative direction. During his time at Amiri, he had the opportunity to help collaborate with acclaimed artist Wes Lang —an experience that helped sharpen his understanding of symbolism, composition, and scale.
Donny’s artistic practice lives at the intersection of motion and emotion. Each piece is built through gesture—giant, unrestrained brush strokes that mirror the chaos and calm of the Pacific, as well as the beat and pulse of sound. The result is a body of work that feels alive: immersive, visceral, and unmistakably Californian.
With a foundation shaped by collaboration and a style driven by instinct, Donny Boyart continues to push the limits of abstract expressionism, crafting bold visual experiences that reflect both their roots and ever-evolving vision.
